September 2023
Tues 5th
“Street Photography” by Nick Turpin
Street Photographs are difficult to make because they come from an uncontrolled environment, their power lies in the head on collision between the super real they appear to show and the mundane real where they were actually made. The viewer gets pleasure from understanding that an incredible photograph shows an actual event, the very special plucked from the non-special.

Minimalist photography is a powerful medium that aims to convey the “soul” or essence of a subject, whether the subject is a person, an object, a place, or even a feeling. It involves stripping away everything in the image that doesn’t contribute to the essential vision of the photographer.
